Born and raised in southern France in 1960 where the art of glassmaking is present on every corner. My fascination grew stronger each day.
It is not until 1985 with the help of Hank Claycamp(Original owner of Mt. St. Helens Glassworks) that I finally entered the magical world of glassmaking; and let me tell you...it is magical. I think the most attractive part is the instant reward.
Some items may take 2 hours, some 3 minutes, but the reward is instantaneous.

The more you practice the language, the better you will become.
When you have enough vocabulary, your communication with the material becomes clearer.
Glass understands your commands, and you understand what glass needs.
Some of the natural enemies like gravity become a necessary tool.
Everyday, you learn some new words that will take you to the next step.

As my glass language improved, I found employment in several studios thru out the world (France, Bermuda, Usa),
Acquired different techniques from several artists, and developed my own line of glass reflecting years of mastering the art

After 8 years in New Orleans, Hurricane Katrina (2005) was an eye opener.
The storm gave us the opportunity to relocate in the Pacific Northwest where Lu Ann (my wife) was originally from.

Our studio is now located on the spectacular 18 miles beach in Westport ,WA.
where fire meets the ocean, and the winds provide the breath of creativity for LuAnn and I.
